WHAT TO EXPECT

From the moment you step into the room, you’ll feel the energy of a space created just for you. Guided exercises, group discussions, and somatic practices will gently guide you through a journey of self-discovery and release. Expect moments of deep reflection, powerful breakthroughs, and a sense of lightness you’ll carry long after the day ends.

  • Through Shan’s signature somatic meditation, you will be guided through an emotional and energetic release that is both restorative and healing for your inner child.

  • You will be paired or put into groups to expand on workshops ran by Shan on a variety of topics like being seen, fear of judgement and vulnerability.

  • Designed to expose you to your real level of self-regulation skills, in groups of three, you will immerse yourself into an ice bath. This is used to challenge your ability to hold discomfort to mimic real-life situations, plus understand what you need to strengthen and focus on when learning to identify your patterns.

  • Provided is a healthy lunch and water to keep you energised throughout the event.

  • Fear often shows up right before something incredible happens. It’s your mind’s way of alerting you to the fact that you’re on the edge of change. By leaning into it, you open yourself up to growth, connection, and a new level of personal freedom.

  • Our inner child often carries wounds from moments in life when we felt unsafe, unloved, or unseen. Facing these wounds can feel like stepping into the unknown, which triggers your brain’s protective mechanisms to keep you "safe."

  • While this fear comes from a good place, it’s outdated. It was designed to protect you as a child when you didn’t have the tools to process and navigate big emotions or experiences. But as an adult, that same protective mechanism can actually sabotage you.

    • Fear tells you to stay small because it’s convinced stepping out of your comfort zone will hurt.

    • Fear makes you question your readiness because it wants to avoid discomfort.

    • Fear creates self-doubt because it doesn’t realise you’re capable of handling the growth ahead.

Coming from a family of 8, growing up in the bush and going to an all-girls boarding school for 6 years, I have my fair share of childhood wounding. I began healing my inner child when I fell pregnant with my son at 21 years old.

That life event set the precedent for the rest of my life. It improved my relationships, parenting, mindset and confidence.

Since 2022, through the scope of inner child healing, I have had clients get “more out of our 6 hour day event than 6 months in therapy” (Bella). One thing I know to be true is that you cannot heal in isolation. This is why Edge offers that unique element of healing which you cannot get from your home.

Facing your trauma, addressing your wounds and meeting your unmet needs requires you to have a community that you feel safe to do it with.

I have created the event that blends intellectual inner child work with somatic inner child work, integrating community to make the process effortless and quick.
